So the past few days I’ve been getting these charlie horses in my abs, right near my rib cage and they hurt like hell. This morning a revelation came to me while on the way to work with the hubs…water! Not drinking enough water. BINGO!!!
They almost made me stop my workout last night but I pushed through. Now if I can just get myself drinking more. I hate the taste of water. I know you can add lemon and what not, but it’s still water…haha
So this is the time of the day I start to say “I’m not working out, I’m too tired”. A long drive home from work over an hour…how do I get these demons out of my head. I REALLY don’t feel like working out, but I know I need to….Make them stop..
Putting this here to make myself check in later. What I’d like to do during my workout tonight
Circuit 3 times
Warmup
Jump Rope 30 seconds
Arm Crosses 30 seconds
Windmills 30 seconds
Waist Circles 30 seconds
Crunches 1 mins
Reverse Crunches 1 min
Punches 1 min
Laying down butterflies 1 min (using 2lb weights)
Pass the medicine ball 1 min (using 8lb medicine ball)
Then maybe do some running on the dreadmill….not sure if before or after the circuit yet.
Sitting here at my desk at work and thinking, why is it so much harder to run outside than it is on a treadmill? I don’t’ want to train my body to run on the treadmill if my ultimate goal one day is to run a 5K.
Why must this patella compression hinder me? I can run fine on the dreadmill, but as soon as I hit the outside, it’s like my knee breaks down and doesn’t want to do a single thing.
Anywho, hopefully tonight I can get a good workout in. I’ll admit, I haven’t worked out in over a week only because I didn’t feel like it. It’s time to stop that and get back on the workout train…CHOOOO CHOOOOO
Slowly getting back in. Ate ok today. Not enough actually, TONS of protein though. 2 Protein shakes.
Workout for the day
4mins running
1min run on level 6
5mins walking
3 miles on the stationary bike
Strength training:
15 Oblique pulldowns each side
30lbs bench press - 25
Punch bag boxing
Throw down medicine ball 10 times
Not a shabby workout and I am SORE!!! Feels good though….until tomorrow..
